 Job Overview

Join Micron’s software team and contribute to cutting-edge SSD technology development. As an Associate Engineer - SSD Software, you'll engage in various software solutions, from driver development to validation across operating systems like Windows and Linux. This role will give you a comprehensive understanding of SSD firmware, validation capacities, and hands-on experience with automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop C/C++ code to manage NVMe/SATA storage devices.
  • Code for Windows, Linux, VMWare, and Free BSD operating systems.
  • Debug complex issues across drivers, OS, and firmware.
  • Create vendor-specific NVMe/SATA commands to access SSD data.
  • Review and improve peers' code.
  • Assist in DevOps for build and test automation.
  • Design and develop APIs for third-party integrations.
  • Build frameworks in layered architecture for software solutions.
  • Develop abstraction layers for different OS platforms and SSD controllers.
  • Integrate software solutions with CLI/GUI/REST API technologies.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Knowledge of Python and C/C++ interaction.
  • Expertise in design patterns and data structures.
  • Understanding of multi-threading, device drivers, and system programming.
  • Familiarity with storage devices, NVMe/SATA protocols.
  • Experience working in Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of source control (Git), build processes (Jenkins, MSBuild), and testing/release cycles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering.
  • Minimum 7.0 CGPA requirement.

Location:

  • Hyderabad or Bengaluru, India.
